Claims: how is technology driving change?

How are insurers’ priorities changing as new technology becomes available, and as the demands of policyholders shift accordingly?

We asked the cream of the European insurance industry for their thoughts, and you can see the responses in this webinar: “The New Claims Agenda: Strategic Priorities for Claims in the new Insurance Landscape.”

Featuring claims leaders from Generali and Allianz, along with Tractable co-founder and Presdient Adrien Cohen, these innovators examined how and why consumer needs are changing – not only because of demand for more advanced processes, but also the impact of Covid-19 – and how technology can help insurers adapt to the changing dynamics in the industry.

Key takeaways:

1. Customers want technology to enable claims to operate smoothly and remotely. That demand has only accelerated with the impact of Covid-19, and carriers are coping with a massive step change in claims that are being processed digitally.
2. That means the human touch is more important, not less. Technology has to guide the insurer to provide a better service, as well as a more efficient one.
3. Carriers are using AI today to adapt. For example, Tractable’s AI is currently deployed to over 15 insurers in 12 countries, helping insurers accelerate their claims processing, while simultaneously providing customers with an improved service.
