Tractable co-founder Razvan Ranca interviewed in the BBC Tech Tent

How is Tractable applying its AI to global challenges, such as evaluating property damage after a natural disaster?

That’s the focus of BBC Technology’s Aug 6 Tech Tent programme, in which leading BBC tech reporter Rory Cellan-Jones interviews Razvan Ranca, Tractable’s CTO and co-founder, about our story so far.

In particular, Rory and Razvan discuss how Tractable is taking the expertise we’ve built in assessing auto damage with AI, and applying it to understand damage to property as well.

In the Tractable section of the broadcast, which starts at around 13.5 minutes, Raz reveals that we’re already working with a major insurer in Japan to use AI to assess damage from typhoons – with the ambition of helping people this year recover more quickly if and when they strike.
